<p>Hello, I am a 17 year old senior from Hawaii and dreaming of moving to New York for college (secondary state massachusetts) <- not even sure if I want to live in MA, but I know for sure NY!</p>

<p>I know my information is nothing special but I’m hoping that the fact that my family has never went to college, we are near poverty, and I am diverse race will help to get me into a school in NY! My grades weren’t anything special the last three years but I’ve been working on trying better my senior year and the first quater I have got a 4.0 weighted. </p>

<p>in all honestly, NYU is a no for you. You can barely afford NYU with the financial stuff going on in your household. Even if you get a decent amount of FA, NYU doesn’t offer up much. However if you had some amazing stats or ECs, I think you would have gotten more aid (some merit aid or something).</p>

<p>Also your stats are barely up for NYU. Even I don’t have a chance with a 1920 SAT score and a 3.2 W/3.0 UW gpa. Retaking my SATs, so I have a chance to atleast hit a 2300 (gl to me…)</p>

<p>Baruch - Probably a match.
Pace U should be your safety.
BU would be a slight reach, along with Northeastern. However, i have no knowledge of U of Hawaii.</p>
