Most likely I had Lowe test scores 25 act 3.57 gpa and got in. Being African American will help you also. Because of affirmative action. Just contact them tell them how much you want to go genre that helps a case.

@etuck24 it was my autocorrect I didn’t even notice the mistakes until now. Please do not be rude ok. Just because I made a mistake doesn’t make me an idiot. Yes they accepted me oos, and yes aa is taken into consideration you idiot. Look it up. They even made a page about it. http://www.psu.edu/dept/aaoffice/
I got in that’s all that matters. So will you get in, ok just show interest email them or go to Facebook expressing your interest and love. That’s what I did, and it really helps. I hope the nazi spelling champion won’t bash this post.

@135pipe - the webpage you linked talks about employment, access and on campus issues. As Etuck pointed out in his link, race plays 0 part in the PSU admissions process. Furthermore, PSU does not really weight interest in there programs in any significant way.

Brush up on your argumentative skills before you get here ;)

If you read my link, which I doubt you did, you’d also see “Level of applicants interest” = “Not considered” - A school that’s a national brand like PSU doesn’t need to know kids are interested in them, because for every 1 kid who’s not, there’s probably 2 that are.

Also, if you read your own link, it says on the first page: "Mission

The Affirmative Action Office is a service organization that supports the University’s commitment to diversity, providing expert advice and leadership to colleges, departments, faculty and staff in their efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce and ensure an environment free from discrimination and harassment."

Diverse workforce =/= diverse admissions/student body

It just bothers me that people give very blatantly wrong information that can be so easily fact checked. Probably wouldn’t have picked on you had you just verified the advice you’re giving before giving it.

If you read your article more carefully it is not clear from anything said by PSU that they use race in their admissions policy. In the sited report they only say that they use race in recruitment, not admissions. Further, in the quote from the director of admissions, notice that the ‘including race’ part of the sentence isn’t actually part of her quote, it is something added by the author of the piece!

I’ll have to dig up my D’s admission letter, but I find it very hard to believe that in a school of that size, they spend time individually customizing acceptance letters. Typically acceptance letters are form letters.
