Chance Me (OOS) for Preferred Admit to Ross

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>I was deferred from Huntsman/CAS at Penn, so now I’m opening my mind about other schools. Please give me your feedback, and tell me if there’s anything I can do in the meantime to improve my chances of acceptance. I know that Michigan asks for only one teacher rec, but I have a rec from a USC medical professor with whom I worked on a research study over the summer. Should I send that in too? All of the app materials were received on December 6th even though my app was submitted on October 31st. Is it too late to send in this non-teacher rec?</p>

<p>Essays: Good, except I worry that I did not discuss enough why I am a good match for Michigan; I did not include anything about why Ross in the preferred admit essay, but instead talked all about myself. Will this hurt me much?

<p>I hear Ross is pretty big on business extracurriculars. I have no idea what “Investing” is but that may qualify. Your stats are good, given their low acceptance rate I would say a 20% chance. Good luck!</p>

<p>In my Ross PA essay, I talked mostly about “why me” and “why business” – with very little, if any, “why Ross”. I had a pretty similar profile, and got in. The only thing I see you lack is some form of business award/achievement. You are somewhere between a match and a reach, and where you land is dependent on how well you sold yourself in your essay.</p>
