CHANCE ME! Pitzer (ED), Reed, UC's, NYU

I posted a chance me over the summer with a projected ACT score, and I decided to re-post now that I’ve finalized my college list and have my real score. I attend a highly competitive school in Northern California and am a Japanese male. Activities-wise, golf is very important to me as I have played it for pretty much my entire life, but I have discovered my passion for diversity programs over the past year and a half. I will be majoring in Anthropology.

forgot to add work experience…

-Work for Regulatory Professionals (my mom’s company) during big submissions where I quality check files before they are sent to the FDA.
-I assist my dad on the weekends whenever he needs help at photo shoots/weddings…I carry his bags, help adjust lighting, and eat the delicious food!

bummmmmmmmmmmmp

I’m also going to apply to Macalester regular decision/possibly ED II. Should I add more safeties? I also wanted to add that the Ap’s/Honors count that I have up there is only for my junior year. I took Biology Honors and Geometry Honors on top of those two during my Frosh/Soph years. If you chance me, I will chance you back! I know I sound pretty desperate right now, but I’m hoping for some more opinions.

My stats are pretty similar with yours. About the UC’s, they don’t accept recs. Proceedingly, I say you have a small reach for Berkeley and LA. And a match with UCSD and UCI. Don’t know bout the other schools

By stats you’d be a strong candidate for Pitzer but they do not give those highest value. But if you are ED and present yourself with passion at the interview, why wouldn’t you be successful. But are you sure you want to make that committment, given other interests?

I’m pretty sure you could get into Berkeley, Reed, and UCLA. Irvine and San Diego are probably safeties. Other than that, sorry I don’t really know.

(I said Berkeley is likely because your stats reallllly closely match up with many of my friends who were accepted, but there are a lot of applicants so no guarantee).
