<p>Stats:
Unweighted/not recalculated GPA - 3.62
ACT-32 (Math-30, English-35, Reading-30, Science 31) I’m might retake this in September.
-AP’s and score-> Stats (4) waiting on APUSH, AP Calc AB and AP Bio (hoping for at least 4’s in all) Taking Calc BC, AP Chem Senior year
-Have taken Honors English 9 and 10, all honors math</p>

<p>-Captain of JV Hockey for 2 years (made varsity this year, but was checked from behind in a scrimmage and now unable to play)
-Treasurer/Historian of FIRST Robotics team
-Model UN member
-Coach for 3/4th grade soccer team (three seasons)
-Head of Player Interaction for the MORC Stars Hockey Team for Developmentally Disabled Children
-Worked at a restaurant for the last two years
-Doing Breast Cancer research at Wayne State University in August
-100+ Volunteer hours</p>

-Should have solid essays</p>

<p>The only thing I believe is lacking is my GPA, otherwise, I believe that I am a well rounded student.</p>

<p>not looking good. they’re incredibly tough on OOS and you have about a 10% chance of getting in. hopefully, the volunteer will work towards your favor</p>

<p>What’s your class rank? It’s an important component that isn’t mentioned.</p>

<p>Your GPA is a little low for OOS but the ACT score will help to offset it a bit if you can make the rest of the application very strong.</p>

<p>Focus on your essays, they are EXTREMELY important in the UNC admissions process and make sure that the LORs are stellar, not just solid. I’ll repeat, focus on your essays, they are EXTREMELY important in the UNC admissions process. </p>

<p>I’ve been around these boards a little longer than most and I will say that that your chances are better than 10% as previously stated but remember that UNC admissions is a long shot for virtually any OOS applicant.</p>
