Chance me please. Applying to Pa schools.

I'm going to be a senior in a public high school in Pa.

GPA: 84.67% I have gotten 3 D's. One in Spanish, Algebra II, and Trigonometry. I have gotten many C's also in a lot of my science classes. English and Social Studies I usually get B's. Spanish I always get C's. The only reason my GPA is a B is all my electives I get A's. I take all college prep classes.

My junior year I got a 88 overall GPA which is the only reason I have an 84 overall. My junior year I got a D in Trig, C in Spanish 3 and Chemistry and the rest of my classes are B's and A's.

Extra Activities: 1 year of freshman basketball
Marching Band 3 years
Jazz Band three Years
Musical Pit band and stage crew 2 years
AAU Basketball 4 years
District Band 1 year
1 year of JV Tennis

SAT: 1500
CR: 500
Math: 500
Writing: 500
Im taking them in October my senior year.

ACT: 20 Reading I got a 26 and everything else was terrible.

I'm going to be a senior year next year and the only hard class I'm taking is Statistics CP.
If I get all A's my senior year, is it possible I could be looking at attending state schools in Pa. I realize that I have been wasting my life not trying to get good grades in high school and my transcript shows it. It's not that I'm a bad kid in life, I'm very polite and respectful. I guess I was just being lazy in high school but that's changing my senior year.

Schools I'm applying too:
Kutztown University
East Stroudsburg University
West Chester University
Bloomsburg University
Moravian University
All schools are in PA.

A lot of my friends who graduated high school are going to community college and that's not the way I want to go because I have aspirations for my life. If I have to go to community college though it wont be that big of a deal.

Rank: 128/250

Will get below 50% in class by the end of my senior year.

I want to Minor in Music and Major in Criminal Justice.

I have aspirations of becoming a state cop.

Can someone help me branch out to applying to colleges?
I'm very music oriented as you can see.

Thanks for your help.

please help

You should be fine. You will get accepted into nearly all of those schools. Dont worry, you'll be fine. I live in PA, so you can trust my assertions. haha

Thank you very much for you response.

Like CornelHopeful I also live in PA and I think you will be fine in those schools. You should get in to most if not all of them. But if you can take the SATs again and really study, it could help your chances immensely! Also what about Temple? Although it is in the city, it is not a lot of money and has been becoming a very good school recently.

Temple is a tremendous reach for the OP.

I mean I go to a school where we sent at least 30 kids there each year, and let me say some of these kids have much less credentials than the OP.

It's funny actually you guys mention about Temple because about 5 of my friends are applying there. Most of my friends take honors and AP classes but they have extremely low SAT scores. My one has a 4.00 gpa but got a 1130 on the SAT. I actually feel proud that even though I have one of the lowest GPA's out of my group of friends, I have the highest SAT score. haha. Anyways, if you guys believe I have a chance at Temple I will most certainty try to get in. A lot of my friends said I would also get in easy to kutztown and the other schools I applied too. The only reason I'm worried is that if I just average my core classes (english, math, science, SS) it would be around 75-79 range which would be a 2.5 GPA I believe. Anymore feedback would be appreciative.

Well I go to Temple, and my school also sounds around 30 kids to Temple every year, so I think I know what it takes to get in. The OP's GPA is slightly under our average, and SAT score is over 100 points below our average. Not to mention no APs or Honors, and a ton of C's and D's. His GPA would likely be recalculated because of the electives, which would put his GPA significantly below our average GPA. He can try if he wants, and by some slim chance, might get in, but he's certainly not going to get any aid whatsoever.
