Chance me for BU!!

Definitely retake either the SATs or ACTs. Although you are applying for a CS major, your english/critical reading scores are low. If you get the SATs to a 1900+ or ACTs to a 29+, I’d say you’re in good shape.

Hi,

Here is a link to the most recent entering class profile. (Quickguide Undergraduate Admissions | Boston University). I’ve summarized the information below:

Total Applicants:43,979
Total Freshmen: 3,900
Average Rank in High School Class:Top 9%
Average GPA: A-
SAT Composite Average: 2005
ACT Average: 29

Additionally, there is specific high school curriculum that BU Admissions recommends (<a href=“Boston University Freshmen Applicant Information | Admissions):%5B/url%5D”>Boston University Freshmen Applicant Information | Admissions):

Four years of English
Three to four years of mathematics (precalculus/calculus recommended)
Three to four years of laboratory science
Three to four years of history and/or social science
Two to four years of a foreign language

Hopefully the above will provide a basis of comparison.

Are you applying as a computer science major through the BU College of Arts and Sciences or as a computer engineering major through the College of Engineering? I ask, because there are program differences in terms of what AP credit would be accepted if admitted. (please see http://www.bu.edu/admissions/files/library/media/advanced_credit_guide.pdf</a>). Additionally, College of Engineering freshmen are required to take the Engineering Diagnostic Examination (EDE)
