<p>Major: Sociology</p>

<p>GPA: 3.79, Got all B’s first semester of college and have been getting straight A’s ever since</p>

<p>I will have 49 transferrable units by Spring 2012(will my low amount of units hurt me?, My 3 AP scores should bring this up 60+</p>

<p>Schools to apply: UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, UCD, UCI</p>

<p>EQ’s: Job at the IHSS (basically an in home nurse) and salesman at Toyota</p>

<p>Essays: Been told they were very good</p>

<p>IGETC completed by Spring 2012</p>

<p>Prereqs finished for UCB and UCLA by Spring 2012, prereqs mostly finished for UCSD, UCSB, UCD, and UCI</p>

<p>edit: gpa might be slightly below avg, but I think if you made your essays unique and powerful, you stand a good shot for UCLA/B</p>

sociology is one of the most impacted majors and only has a 16 percent admit rate.
your gpa is also below the average admitted, which is 3.82
not sure if your low unit count is gonna matter.
it all comes down to your essays i guess.</p>

<p>Your major is sociology, and you have a gpa of 3.7. You don’t have to worry about anything, just do a great job on ur PS then ur in for all. Come on it’s sociology. Not to brag, but my friend transfer to Berkeley with sociology major in 1 year as a junior transfer. He barely has 60 units by spring. Prereq not many, math sequence? easy just cal 1 or integral cal, but at Berkeley he doesn’t need it… His gpa was 3.7, not to mention he is the dumbest guy in the group. Anyway he in, ur in. :slight_smile: Gotta have confident bro, u will make it. Best of luck.</p>

<p>He got in last year. His gpa was 3.7, and his PS was great. Not excellent, but great :).
btw for UCLA, it’s selective over there, u may need </p>

<p>I’m planning on signing up for Finite Math in the spring because I’ve never taken Pre-Calc or any type of Calculus for that matter. I’m taking stats right now.</p>
