Please give me advice as well this is one of my REACH REACH REACH schools dont worry but I just hope the admissions people will understand that I have changed and developed as a person

Helloooooo

You have very good chances :)

Wow really?! Thanks!

Although you think you’re lower grades are disadvantaging you, they are actually helping you!
It shows that you aren’t the perfect student but you put out the effort to change. Admissions committees are much more impressed when they see a student who had a rough start and end strong!
Your ECs are fantastic and are well rounded… You also show commitment and passion.
If I were you, I would talk about how the death of your brother has shaped your dreams and aspirations and how you fought to come out of your depression. College admissions officers HATE essays about purely depression because they feel it is negative to the campus, but if you can explain that your “sadness” stemmed from the death of your brother I think it will be looked at in a different light.
Whatever your essay is, EXPLAIN your grades in a creative way so that admissions officers see that you are a strong willed and intellectual student who will be a great addition to campus.

**note: did you get a 2200 on the SAT or do you have yet to take it? If possible, (and I know this is EXTREMELY HARD) , try to get at least a 2200. A high SAT score “validates” your low grades making it seem like your grades are not the best reflection of your abilities.
Your 4.0 in junior year will help you too.
GOOD LUCK! And ask me any questions.
I will be applying to UPenn reg. decision

Yeah I did I just don’t know exact #s off the top of my head. Thanks so much for your help and good luck with your application :3 hopefully well see each other at Penn!

With your SAT scores plus junior grades and the reaason for your frosh & soph grades I think you stand a VERY good chance. I hope it works out for you - sounds like you deserve it!

Thank you! :)

Argh bump!! :3

Bump again!

Same as jayzers94. I would just recommend that in your essay don’t make the admissions officers feel depressed or pity you! Show how you have improved; gotten strnger, have better values how you have certain aspirations. I am very sorry for your loss while I have not lost a close sibling I have lost my Grandmother and Aunt to a slow painful death through cancer( i know you didn’t say how he died) however I do know that losing a sibling is a lot harder than even losing a parent sometimes. Hope all your dreams come true! Have hope; you ca do it! :~)

Bump bump bumpity bump bump

Bumppppppppp

Be sure to mention your situation for the first two years. It should get some sympathy points and make up in part for your grades. Otherwise, a very good looking resume, more than making up for the GPA. Also, does your school weigh GPA?

My weighted is 3.6 ish

Thanks for your feedback!

Bump bumpity bumpy bump

Bump bump bumpbump

I think you got this in the bag. Good luck.

Thanks!! :)

looks good!
