Hooks(I don’t know if they are): National Merit Semifinalist(I think finalist, since I haven’t heard back yet), Dual citizenship with Hungary; Hungarian Scouts(like girl scouts but Hungarian culture and history, more wilderness training)

There is no way that a prestigious ivy league school would recognize a shoddy organization such as the hungarian scouts. What do they teach you paprika harvesting techniques?

Hungarian scouts is internationally recognized, and there are thousands of scouts in the US alone. We actually do a lot more wilderness training than girl scouts, and more than a lot of boy scouts, depending on the camp(from what I’ve talked to my friends who are boy scouts). There’s a focus on culture. It all sounds really nerdy, but it is also completely legit. I really don’t appreciate your snarky comments.

“Hooks(I don’t know if they are): National Merit Semifinalist(I think finalist, since I haven’t heard back yet), Dual citizenship with Hungary; Hungarian Scouts(like girl scouts but Hungarian culture and history, more wilderness training)”

None of these are really considered hooks; though I am a dual citizen of Austria (Austria-Hungary whatup!) – not to mention I also took 4 years of Latin (I love that language)

I think you have a good chance except at YPC, maybe Brown, but the other ones are low reach/high match

I’d say probably no to YP, Columbia, and Brown and yes to the others.
