Your stats aren’t quite competitive enough for Penn State Smeal College of Business. If you apply direct to business, you will probably be pushed out to a branch campus for the 2+2 program. Smeal accepts less than 10% of applicants. You should consider applying DUS (undecided) with an option to start in the summer. Here’s the overall stats for accepted freshmen:

Kids accepted to Smeal are really in a premajor. They still have to take the entrance to major requirements and achieve a minimum GPA to officially declare their major at the end of their sophomore year. As a DUS student, you can work through the same business entrance to major requirements and if you meet the GPA minimum, you can be accepted into your Smeal major. The difference in being a DUS student (compared to students directly admitted to the premajor) is that you will not have a Smeal adviser at first.
