Just got rejected from UCI today, and UCLA and UCSD.
Do I have a chance at UCD? I really wanna go there.
So far, I’ve been accepted to UCR and UCSB.

Pretty surprised you were rejected from UCI!

With a 4.22 W/3.8 NW I would think you’d get into both UCI and UCD. Strange.

Can’t chance you because there has been a lot of serious ambiguity in the house this year at UCs. But I’d think it’s very possible and rather likely.

Wish your US History subject test were a lot higher but I don’t think that gets weighted that much considering it’s being taken out of requirements anyway. Quite surprised you didn’t get into UCI. Good luck!

EDIT: If it helps you or anyone else, my stats were UC GPA: 4.02 W / 3.78 UW, 2020 SAT I, 600 Bio E & 640 Math 2 subject tests, nearly two-dozen great ECs varying from sports, ASB leadership, clubs, to school paper and many more, and decent essays (though that’s pretty subjective). Rejected from UCLA, accepted to UCSD and received admission to my first-choice college (Muir) there.
I am also waiting on UC Davis and will likely attend. We’ll see! :)

you seem like a good fit, but like the person above me, the UCs are really ambiguous on who gets in and who doesn’t…

you didn’t get into UCI?? what the…
how were your freshman and sophomore grades??

Freshman year I had a 4.2 both semesters…i had straight A’s.
Sophomore year I had a 4.0 first semester (3 Bs with 2 AP classes and an honors) and a 4.6 second semester (straight A’s)
Junior year I had a 4.0 first semester (4 Bs -_- with 4 AP classes) and 4.3ish second semester (2 Bs)
Senior year first semester I had a 4.6 (1 B with 4 APs and an honors)

The UC system is so confusing… -_-
I know my stats aren’t the best, but I thought UCI was a match for me :(

The UC’s have to make way for the disenfranchised… even at high achiever’s expense.

What good would a college be is everyone in there was smart and high achievers?

Hmmm that’s interesting. You had really good grades all throughout high school… Well, good luck with UCD. I think you’ll definitely get in.

Wouldn’t you be ELC with that class ranking?

Actually, I had to email the ELC people to ask about that because someone that was ranked lower than me was ELC eligible, but they said that they only looked at sophomore and junior year grades and I didn’t do too great those two years compared to others. I did have good grades freshman year, but they didn’t count.
