I have time from now till then so I’m open to all thoughts/advice & criticism
Which SAT Scores should I send? Do they superscore?
Thanks,
- There is no EA or RD at Penn State. We have rolling admission. You may have heard advice to "apply early," but that just means to get your app in as soon as applications open up.
- They do not superscore.
- Your SAT is above 75th percentile in M and W, within middle 50% in CR. That's fine. GPA is also okay, middle-of-the-pack type. I think University Park is a match for you; submit your app early to get a decision back quickly.

I’m curious why you have two different GPA’s for EA and RD (like bodangles said it’s only rolling.) If you were planning to raise your grades after the first quarter of senior year or something you should know that they don’t consider senior year grades at all. I think you have a really good shot at UP. Apply ASAP for the best chance! The app goes live on September 1st.
Application goes live September 1st and priority application ends November 30. As long as you get your application in prior to November 30 you will be in the priority consideration. That gives you the best chance. But just because you apply early does not mean you will hear early. They don’t consider applications in order. Not really sure how they do it, but it’s not in order. The very high Stat kids seem to hear sooner, but not always. My D applied Sept 2, application was complete Sept 8, but she didn’t get a decision until the last week of January.
As stated above, Penn State doesn’t superscore nor use senior grades at all.
Take a look at the 2019 decision thread to get an idea what to expect. It’s a roller coaster for sure!
