o This is a government program started by President Dwight Eisenhower after World War II in order to bring together countries. He believed that by bringing students to other countries, we could create an understanding for each other which would hopefully eventually lead to world peace. Students spend approximately three weeks in foreign countries exploring landmarks and living with a family to embrace the culture.
