I am just really worried because I have a twin brother with practically the same resume but a 35 ACT, valedictorian, higher GPA, and way better essays… I read them all… bad idea

It seems unlikely that you’re a saludictorian lol
I wouldn’t worry too much at this point. Your stats seem solid, other than a low ACT. Although I get the feeling that you and me might get steamrolled by people like your twin brother heh

EDIT: Oh and a happy crappy new year btw. We’re gonna get trolled by colleges >_>

Several of the schools on your list are pretty extreme reaches given your ACT and ECs (i.e., Yale, Penn, Princeton, probably Wash U and Northwestern, too). Your track achievements are significant–but did your injury wash you out of track for good? If it did, they won’t help you nearly as much.

yah I think it helped having my brother while in high school, probably woudnt have been 2nd in the class with out him.

And i really tried to raise that darin ACT, took it six times, but it would not budge.

No I am actually fully recovered now! I would not be a happy camper if I wasn’t able to run ever again…And I would absolutely loooooove to run on Wash U’s Cross country team!! I have done an overnight and am being recruited by Coach Stiles!!Love it there!

Thank you both for your honesty!!! I am going to try and not get my hopes up! Happy New Year to you two as well!!!

btw I wasn’t saying that you didn’t seem qualified to be 2nd in your class, but just make sure to say ‘salutatorian’ in your speech haha. Good luck!

Wash U- High Probability
Notre Dame- Acceptance is imminent
Northwestern-Most likely
Yale- Great application, but for a college as elite as Yale nothing is guaranteed. 50-50
UPenn- Reasonable
Princeton- Same as Yale
U of I
