Oh, I forgot, I’ve won a handful of writing contests as well (short stories mostly) and I was wrestling captain for 2 years.

SAT’s are in the top range. GPA is low for an ivy, unless your school is a feeder school to Harvard like Exeter is and they take 10-15% of the school. EC’s are decent but not great.

If you are good enough to wrestle at Harvard, then you probably are an automatic admit, though.

Yeah, I know the GPA’s low but how low is it? My school isn’t a feeder, but we get 1-3 Harvard admittees a year. I don’t know how good Harvard’s wrestling program is, I’ll look into that. How big a deal would it be that my family runs a non-profit on the side which gives bags of supplies to DC homeless? I’m technically the VP but its not a constant workload kind of thing.

^It’s a very good EC. You might have gotten more credit for it if your family wasn’t involved in it. On the other hand, they may think that service is a family value that you will continue with later. There’s no way of knowing, but you have enough that you should try.

I would check what the profile is of those who get in from your high school. And, of course, look into the wrestling program. Go ahead and contact Harvard wrestling and let them know you’re interested. Or also talk to your coach.

Ok, thanks!
