chance me please?

Female student from California (very few students from my school/region apply to UMD)
Jewish, applying as Hispanic
SAT: 680 CR, 680 M, 800 W. 1360/2160 total. Taken once in June.
SAT 2: 690 USH.
(I’m also applying to other schools that recommend 2 SAT 2s, so should I take them in Oct or retake the SAT 1 in Oct to improve scores for UMD? UMD is my top choice, but the other schools are more selective)
I want to do a double major in Gov/Politics and Journalism.
I transferred schools the summer before my junior year. I attended a school for 2 months before transferring to my local public.
GPA: 3.4/4.0
3.8/5.0
(I have gotten mostly A’s, several B’s, 1 C (pre-calc first semester 11th grade) and 1 D (pre-calc second semester. )I’m making up the D through an online course. A or B expected.)

I attend a very competitive public school. GPA would be higher but school doesn’t count freshman/sophomore honors courses.

AP Classes:
9th: Honors history, honors English, honors language and unweighted honors math
10th: AP Euro, 4. honors English and honors language.
11th: AP Psych, AP English Lang, APUSH, all 5’s.
12th: AP Art History, AP Statistics, AP Environ. Science, AP English Lit, AP Gov, AP Econ. (econ and gov are semester classes)

9th- pre-requisite class.

12th- business manager

Social Science Excellence Award, 2013.

What are my chances of getting in as a freshman? Chances for honors programs and merit aid?
Thanks in advance!

I say match. Donno about merit aid

what about chances for honors programs?

Strong chances of being accepted and I would say low-average chances of receiving merit aid just because of the fact that you are out of state. I had very similar GPA, EC’s and SAT scores when I applied regular decision last year and I was accepted. The only difference was I was in state and took IB instead of AP. I would highly recommend applying early action if you expect to be accepted into honors or at the very least scholars.

you will get in  i can almost guarantee you

most of my friends got in with 3.5+/1900+ and some with 3.3+/2100.
since you have strong SAT score, you will and you WILL get in.
