I plan on studying history and art history, with an end goal of museum curation.

I’m a white female that attends a small private school without a ton of variety in class offerings, but I will graduate with about 20 college credits from taking dual credit courses. I had a fairly high (3.8) GPA until second semester of my junior year, when a small family crisis and the suicide of one of my best friends put school on the back burner for a while. I’m back to A’s this year, but I’m aware that I’ve screwed myself over…

My parents are divorced, and my mother, who has primary legal custody, makes less than $30,000 a year. I would very much like to avoid being gravely in debt after completing my undergraduate work, but I don’t want to stay in Nebraska for school.

I would appreciate it if you would chance me for the following schools that I’ve applied to, and speculate on what financial aid would look like (if you have any expertise).

University of Michigan
George Washington University
George Mason University
American University
Hillsdale College
University of Maryland
Northwestern University
Berea College
Loyola University Chicago
Goucher College
Michigan State University

Cornell College (Iowa): accepted
University of Nebraska-Lincoln: accepted
Creighton University: accepted
Hastings College: accepted

Thanks!
