Schools: HYSP, Penn, U of Chicago, Duke, Columbia

I know it’s going to be extremely tough to get into those schools, so any help is appreciated.

You definitely have really strong ECs and a great academic record. You can definitely play up some of your more unique accomplishments (having a book co-published? That is really awesome!!). I’d say you have a really good shot at places like Penn, U of Chicago, Duke, and Columbia, and HYSP is definitely attainable, but it’s always hard to figure out real statistics on them because of how arbitrary admissions is. If you can show a really strong voice in your essays, maybe apply ED to your favorite and show why you like it so much, and get some good recommendations then I can’t imagine any school that isn’t in your range. Good luck!

bump?

You’re a very strong, well rounded applicant. Those universities are difficult to get into - good luck! The one thing I would recommend is to make sure that you show your dedication to each of your extracurriculars in your essays. Colleges care more about your dedication than the number of ECs.

You’re competitive, so you have a chance. Admissions for these schools are all competitive, but you should definitely apply.
