-I’ve investing in stocks since I was 13. I’ve never made a bad trade, and I’ve averaged at least 20% on all of my investments.
-I’ve sold stock analysis articles for a site called SeekingAlpha.com, one of the highest ranked investing news sites on the Internet. I’m one of only five minors that have been allowed to write for the site, out of 1 million total paid writers.
-I hired and managed a team of developers to build an iOS app that allows people to sort tasks into step-by-step sub-tasks It runs ads. It’s been downloaded over 1,300 times in the last 4 months in 7 countries. I’m currently working on an app that lets people manage their sleep during long flights to avoid jetlag. That should be out in a few weeks.
-I coached a 6th grade youth basketball team.
-I’m President of a club on investing at my school. We’re the only club or class on campus that gives students the chance to participate in the Stock Market Game, which is a nationwide stock simulation competition. We’re planning to sponsor 10 teams this year.
-I participated in an internship program at Wadell &Reed, a financial advisory firm. I learned about what it takes to be a successful financial analyst and adviser and worked with the advisers. I was the only high schooler in the program, which was designed for college students.
-I was one of three students chosen at my school to attend the HOBY Sothern California Leadership Seminar, which was a 3 day event at Chapman University.
-I written an e-book about how the ancient principles of Stoicism can be used to make better investments in today’s markets. It has a 5-star rating on Amazon and has been downloaded in 4 countries. It’s been featured on Medium.com. (I’m working on the marketing right now.)
-I’m the Sports Copy Editor at my high school newspaper.
-I’m currently working on an economics paper on the psychological and behavioral impact of trading fees on investors with a PhD student at the University of California, Irvine. He wrote me a letter of recommendation.

I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to apply to Ross right away as a pre-admit or wait until after freshman year to do so if I get admitted and decide to go.

I’m just a bit confused about whether of what my chances are. So if someone would give me some clarity, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

In-state or OOS/International? Will you be applying to LSA, Engineering or a different school? Are you a junior or senior?

Senior. Out of state.

Your numbers won’t get you screened out. They should carefully review the rest of your application.

If you are thinking about Ross, go ahead and apply pre-admit. You will also be choosing what unit you would like to be in freshman year, whether it is LSA, engineering, etc. The decisions are separate, thus your pre-admit decision will have no bearing on your decision for whichever one of those schools you apply to. Worst case, you get rejected from the pre-admit portion and try again after freshman year.
