Hi I’m applying as a gap year student. I would be grateful if you could chance me and suggest some options for ED2 and reach/safe/fit schools!

tufts ed1; case wpi uchicago mit ea
bates lehigh carleton trinity college f&m usc - preferably rd -> still choosing my ed2

gpa: intl stu (>9/10)
act: 33 superscore (33E, 36M, 30R, 32S); 32 highest composite -> retake in December
sat2: 800 M2, 730P, 630 Lit.
no submit sat1

most activities relate to culture, children and teaching + dance
show interest in culture/human dev. & technology

What are/were your plans/activities during your GAP? What motivated your gap decision?

I plan to expand the outreach of the project I cofounded. all of them are related to cultures. I also commit to volunteering, most of which concern with helping mishap children. All of my activities are related to cultures, community service and kids. @retiredfarmer

Your test scores look good. It would be helpful to present an explanation of your project activities including your accomplishments to date and your project goals with your application… WPI will want to know what you are actually doing. Your test scores and grades do not tell the whole story and you may need some financial assistance. As you probably already know, the school has a very broad focus on project solutions from around the world, but does not have a school of international studies. WPI is more focused on working, interdisciplinary solutions to solve specific problems. You may find more information on these project centers @ https://www.wpi.edu/project-based-learning/global-project-program/project-centers. Fifteen of these 40+ centers are in the US.

@retiredfarmer I did have an interview w the school elaborating on my projects I’m doing. I think it went well… I hope so… Thank you so so so much for your reply!! Are there any other schools you think my stats could at least reach the average requirements? I don’t think my stats is competitive enough for the intl pool but I’m doing my best anyway ^^

Since you are an international student, who needs full FA to attend, you should reapply to those schools who offered you funding previously.
Reason?
There are limited FA dollars for international students.

Did you apply anywhere previously?
The schools are expensive. You need to look at schools that need students in the south and midwestern part of the US.
