GPA looks good. Bring up that SAT english score. What are you planning on majoring in?

Bring up that SAT English score.
Do you have any hooks?
What are you planning on majoring in?
What kind of school do you go to (public, private)?
^^These are all important factors!
I’d say all these schools are reaches (except for UMD which is a likely/low target). The college process is a crap shoot. Make sure you have some safeties.
I want to major in engineering or math. I don’t have much of a preference between public and private but I don’t want to go to a school that’s too small.
Not sure about any hooks; haven’t started my own non-profit organization like I see some people have on here
Do you have any suggestions about how to get better at english and writing because I’ve done khan academy and practice tests but I don’t really improve in my english score. I did better on the english section than I thought I would.
I have a few safety schools in the back of my head because I know these are reaches
I think you have a good chance at UMD, but you need something that stands out to get into an ivy league. Whether it be a national award, founding a club having to do with your major or something along those lines.
