Somebody please respond. I would really appreciate it.

You’re not likely to get into UCLA unless you are a CA resident.
Your SATs are far too low for Cal Tech, and they would want you to have Physics.
You’re good for the others.

I want to go to a good college, and I know my stats are pretty low, but I’ve written an incredible essay, and I have the most incredible recommendations imaginable. So, my question is, what good college (anywhere in the country) can I get into with those stats?

Your stats are not low. You can probably get into every college in the country except the most selective 25 or so, UCLA (o.o.s.) and Cal Tech being two of these. What are you looking for in a college, other than “good”?

I guess I mean the most selective. Not Harvard or anything, but I want to be an aerospace engineer, so a college with a good reputation for engineering and selectivity.

Can you list your AP scores? A 1380 won’t impress Caltech, UCLA, or USC but your rank is excellent. I know a brilliant science guy (won this award from MIT in junior year but got rejected when he applied lol) who got 1500 and is very happy at Rensselaer… a good tech school where you’d probably have a good shot.

I haven’t gotten any of my APs back yet, so I don’t know their scores. I honestly couldn’t give an accurate guess, either. Except I know I got a 1 on the AP Spanish because I had the same teacher for the past three years, and I didn’t learn anything from her, besides that I’m not sure.

PS. I’m retaking the SATs in October. My goal is a 2250. I also have 300 plus hours of community service.

Somedumbnoob, my SATs are at the top of the middle 50% range for both USC and UCLA, and my writing scores are higher than the range for all of the schools on my list.
