Anyone who tells you this is a reach is just being a prick because they are jealous of you. More than likely you are into UCLA. You have minority status, a great GPA, solid SATs and lots more going for you. Don’t let people who spend way too much time on this ridiculous site get you down with their obnoxious and pretentious lies.

Most of the people telling applicants what their chances are are already in this school  There’s nothing to be jealous of…its just being realistic

someone like… me!

Hi all,

I’m new to the US college thing here, so please excuse any seemingly ridiculous comments or additions to this post. I’m still learning about the education system and what people are looking for, so… give me a break if I say something hilariously nonsensical.

White Australian Female

High School Class of 2006

Sorry that was so long. Hopefully most of it makes sense. The extra-curricular thing is kind of strange for me to write out as EC’s and essays are never taken into account for Aussie university apps. If anyone can be bothered, I wouldn’t mind knowing which of the above are unnecessary, 'cause I’m sure there are a fair few unimportant ones up there.

Thanks in advance for any predictions, thoughts or suggestions.

Oops, forgot to add a Summer exchange in USA (homestay in Mesa, Arizona).

Also, extensive recreational and educational, international travel? Would that count for anything?

i think u have a really good chance…your extracurriculars are good…and if u say u didn’t study for the SAT then u’ll probably get a much higher score when u do study for them.
