big Blue – all I can say is… congrats, and you must have had a really incompetent chemistry teacher (or you were ill that day!) LOL.

big blue – Between UCLA and Berkeley, I think you’re 75% to get into both, and 90% to get into one. There’s always the chance you’ll get an application reader who just got in a fight with their significant other and is in a ****y mood… or the chance you’ll get a bigot who puts you in the denied pile by figuring out from your application that you’re [fill in the blank category they don’t like (asian, black, white, hispanic, male, female, etc.)]

P.S. yoonjb: one cannot have a UC GPA of 4.75. UC GPA is comprised of sophomore and junior year grades, with a CAP on AP/Honors +1 point of 8 semester grades. Assuming 5 a-g courses each of the four semesters, the UC GPA maxes out at 4.4. Assuming 6 a-g courses each of the four semesters, 4.33 is the max.

flopsy – I think based on other posts that yoonjb is a matriculating freshman at UCLA already (that is an assumption, I admit). I assume he/she posted to give a comparison to OP.
