Chance Me Please

I am applying to Hotchkiss, Deerfield, Milton, and Taft

I have almost all 6’s in IB

86% overall in SSAT

I am half fluent in French(I can undestand all and speak half). I live in Paris but will live in Idaho when I apply next year.

I am Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout Troop. I am in MUN and Newspaper.

I am in a investments and surprisingly Ive done very well in the markets off a loan from my dad. I am very interested in economics.

MUN and interest in economics (if you can demonstrate it through summer programs/ research papers etc.) will help for Hotchkiss.

I did the IB too I know that essentially straight 6s is pretty good. You SSAT is also fairly high. I would say your chances are fairly good. Did you hear back from Hotchkiss about the waitlist ?

Living in France could actually give you an edge- they like geogrpahical diversity. Is it possible for you to stay in France when you apply?

I have not heard back about the waitlist.
To Missyujin, I definitely wish I could stay but I do not think it is going to happen but how many kids apply from Idaho?
p.s. I meant to say investments club

If I were you, I would say that applying form Idaho is going to raise your chances. Honestly, I think you’ll get accepted either way because your stats look good.

This might be a stretch, but it would really help if you became fully fluent in French. It would look good on your applications and could be a discussion point in your interview. Overall, you have a good shot.
