Dear k1ng310 : Noted in your curriculum are five AP exams although there are no sciences or history courses among that set of two mathematics, two english, and computer science. Your critical reading score raises a red flag for acceptance - while the mathematics SAT I score is exceptional the balance is quite tilted when you look at your two way and three way summary.

As you anticipated already, your retake of the SAT and initial sitting for the ACT is a good course of action. (Please take some time when your ACT rolls around to take a sample science section so you know what to expect there.)

Your extra curriculars are solid, but not over the top. It is nice to see your German program (is that your first language?) and honor societies. Is there anything that you have contributed to the student body through those activities?

At this point, you seem to be on the right trajectory but are still slightly lack in the standardized test scores. Please repost once you have your next round of test scores for a more complete review.

Okay I will thank you. Ill post ASAP.
My native language is Polish… and I’ll think about if I have any other EC’s.
Edit: EC [Contributions]

I’d say you have a pretty good shot.

You might want to raise that SAT score a bit, to help round out your stats overall. Try to aim for that 650!

If you were minority (AHANA students according to BC) I would say that you are definitely in. I know plenty of minority students who got into BC with total score of 1500-1700 while BC’s median SAT score is 1900-ish. BC is trying to increase the number of minority students on campus.

But still I will say that you have a pretty good shot as a 1st gen. college student. I wouldn’t change anything except just write a real “bang-up” essay. Good luck.
