<p>Test Scores:
SAT 1- 2280 (cr-750, m-760, w-770)
SAT 2- Maths Level 2- 800, Phy-800 and Chem- Not given but expect 780-800 in it also; Lit- to be Given
AP Calculus AB, Physics C, Chemistry- all 5s</p>

<p>Academics:
I am from one of the best schools in New Delhi,India and it is very very competitive. We do not follow the American education system so I had to study for SATs, and APs myself, no AP courses. Also keep in mind that the Indian education system is much more rigorous at the high school level vis-a-vis the American high school system.
No GPA or school rank, we follow percentage system
I can only give you the SECTION rank where section is a subset of class. There are roughly 18 sections in each class comprising of 50 students each.
Class 10th- 94.3% Sec Rank-2
Class 11th- 88% Sec Rank-3 (Very tough year for everyone)
Class 12- 89% Sec Rank-1 </p>

<ol>
<li>Got a national level rank in the Math Olympiad in Class 7 and 8 and a medal at the state level in science in Class 6th. (Will these count?)</li>
<li>Got a 100% International Percentile in the ACER English Exam in class 9th (This will count!)</li>
<li>Achieved Distinction in the All India NSTSE Science and ASSET Exams from Class 6th to 8th</li>
<li>UNFORTUNATELY NO SCIENCE OR MATH OLYMPIADS HISTORY SINCE Class 9th (I know it’s a very big blow, but can I survive it?)</li>
</ol>

<p>Social Service:
2 Summer projects on solid waste management and drug abuse for 3 months each at reputable NGOs. Did Solid work but THAT’s IT in social service.</p>

<p>ECS:

  1. Vice Headboy (This is the second most important position in the student government and very prestigious in a school like mine)
  2. Debating
  3. Model UN
  4. Creative Writing
  5. Kickboxing</p>

<p>Honors/Awards:

  1. Achieved Certificate of Outstanding Excellence in All India Spell Vocab Challenger Competition
  2. Have 5 articles published in well known national newspapers
  3. Various articles and poems published in school magazine, they are really good
  4. Helped bring out my school magazine
  5. Won Interschool Story Writing Competition in Delhi
  6. Achieved Consolation Prize among 5000 entries in Times Essay Writing Competition
  7. Won Ayur Living India Essay Competition in Delhi
  8. Won Springdales Interschool Essay Competition in Delhi
  9. Won Consolation prize in prestigious Interschool Essay competition in Delhi
  10. Won Best Speaker in Indian School Debate
  11. Won Second Best Speaker in Shri Ram School Debate
  12. Won Best Speaker in Bal Bharti School Debate
  13. Won Best Delegate in DSMUN
  14. Won Best Delegate in NTUMUN, NTU University, Singapore
  15. Won Best Delegate in WORDZMUN
  16. Served as Rapporteur of the General Assembly at DPSMUN
  17. Appointed as Chairperson of the General assembly at INMUN
  18. Practiced Kickboxing for 2 years but I am not a Black Belt, only a Double Green Belt, given up now
  19. Received Red Blazer for excellence in creative writing and kept it up with a red badge this year for excellence in debating
  20. Received Gold Medal for scoring above 80% since Class 4th to Class 12th. (on an average, seven people receive this for every batch of fifty students)</p>

<p>Recs and Essays:
Will be very good hopefully, I am a good writer</p>

<p>Looking for economics at Princeton, Penn, Harvard, MIT, Amherst. Look for engineering at Yale, Cornell, Penn(again), JHU, Michigan, Boston, Duke. Financial aid required as a part of family need. (Yes I know…SCREWED, but I can’t help it…I do need to be educated)</p>

<p>hey, im an applicant also, so maybe not the most sufficient authority, but i think your app looks pretty impressive… probably more academic achievements than some of the others (deffo more than me ^^), but the ECs are not really outstanding (plz don´t take that personally); you got a lot of awards, that will probably help, but nothing really outstanding; maybe you should think of sth that makes you reeeeally special and describe it in your essays… i think you have pretty solid chances though. but try to make your essays really unique (i know everybody says that, but try to think of sth really original) then i think you should be in…
but then again- its pton, you never know haha

<p>It’s hard to chance for International applicants. No doubt about that. You have good scores, and your percentage is fine, don’t take it otherwise, but your ECs are not strong. </p>

<p>Don’t take me wrong, those are great scores, but there are applicants I know from New Delhi (one from Springdales itself) itself who have near perfect scores (very unlike me - I screw all standardized testing), are the head of a quarter of the organizations at school, have been to places all over the world for camps/conferences/seminars/meetings etc and still hold a job.</p>

<p>If you work on your ECs and get a few leadership positions, I’d say you have a great shot at all of these schools!</p>
