Chance me please!

I have recently sent off my application and I have an interview next Tuesday. Here are some of my stats:

GPA: 3.8
Early Decision Applicant
ACT: 26 (I realize this will probably be my weakest spot…should I bring this up in my interview? I do not believe the ACT accurately portrays my academic ability)
Class Rank: 12/100

I am involved in many extracurricular’s and community service.

I think my essay is my strongest aspect. I wrote about how my background makes me different and how I will contribute to campus diversity. I think it really portrays who I am.

I have a few awards for a chemistry research program that I did at the University of Illinois during the summer before my junior year, as well as some academic honor awards.

I am a first generation college student. I don’t know if this gives me a hook or not?

My main problem is that I didn’t start off that great freshman year, but my grades and my attitude towards education have vastly improved since then. I have consistently been taking more challenging courses (the most challenging offered at my school and some college classes) with each year and have been earning better grades. My transcript reflects this. My junior year was the best. And I am doing great my senior year - I am planning on bringing my current senior year grade report with me to my interview i think.

Brown is by far my first choice school and I would love to go there. If I don’t get in as a freshman, I am I thinking I might transfer after my first year at a different college, granted that I still feel the desire to. I love Brown’s curriculum, student organizations, study abroad programs, the location, the diversity, and the size of the school. And most importantly, I want an education that will challenge me and I think Brown would do this.

So what do you think realistically my chances are when you take everything into account?

Also, are there any specific ways or things I could do to make my interview stand out next Tuesday? How much of an impact does the the interview have?

Thanks!

Some of the answers are here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/810532-brown-interview-faq-answers.html
