I want to major in biology and I was born and grew up in New York. I’m a black female.

I know my test scores aren’t that great, but I’m hoping my athlete status and grades can make up for it.

Please be honest and try to give advice about what I can do to improve. I’m interested in a lot of the ivies and other very selective schools.

Wow, seems great so far. Why do you want to apply to Harvard?

Good biology and medical program

Able to pick most of classes, not a lot of required classes

Good track and XC program

Available internships and study abroad (summer)

Diverse student body

Cold temperature

Nice dorms

Nice stats.

Usually that is a deterrent.

As a recruited XC/track runner and an URM, I’d say your chances aren’t bad at all.

Thanks guys for the comments!
