Could you chance me for these schools and tell me if I stand a chance w/ current stats? And can you also give advice on how to improve? Thanks!

bump…anyone?

no bad but your bio was only 670?
and you need math IIC at most schools.
weird gpa system. i dont understand how it works. out of 100?

i think you’re looking fine. maybe retake bio and take math IIC. your ec. look good with all the research. minimal leadership skills, based off of school club.

Bio was 8th grade so I wasn’t to into this sat II stuff…

i think you’ve got a solid chance because of your medical EC’s. Good luck,im applying to some of those myself. you’ve got good shots man

seeing as youre not applying to the most competitive ones, i think you have a great shot. plus with all the help youve received on this forum, you better get into at least one lol.

haha, I should bring that up in the interview
INTERVIEWER - “So, tell me again why you should be in this program.”
ME- “Well, I got a lot of help from CC, and I don’t wanna disappoint them.”
INTERVIEWER - “Thats good enough for me, welcome to [insert med program here]”.

Other opinions?

bump…

If you have high PSAT that made you National Semifinalist, apply to Ohio State BS/MD since being Semifinalist is their only requirement. OSU is highly respected Medical School. NEOUCOM is almost a waste to apply for OOS unless your stats are very close to perfect, but you can try. If you are in Ohio, your stats are reasonable for it.

Nope, I am from NY and did not get the National Semifinalist…

you’re on your way az1698

Medical ECs are really strong . . . you’ll get into at least one of those programs.

Thanks…other opinions?

You have a good shot at these programs based on the stats you posted. Now stop asking people to pat your back, and work on writing your essays, which will usually be a major factor in your admission.

Other opinions?

Chem came in today…670. Does that hurt my chances significantly? Isn’t it true that they look at top 2/3 scores, so will i be affected?

why do you have letters of rec already? the doctor one doesn’t count. the bio one won’t count if its 9-10th grade (usually colleges want 11th+). the GC one won’t count also for med programs (at least the ones i have applied to). the bio one is fine if its from 11th grade. to cover the most ground, get one from science and one from humanities (preferably english if you plan to apply to HPME).

and come on, you can do better than a 670. chem is ridiculously easy. if you plan to have a 2250, 34, and perfect GPA, a 670 looks horrible.

About the recs, sophie davis, stonybrook, Vcu, drexel, and siena/union all said that the recs from doctors and gc are fine, as is the bio. And about chem, I honestly think that is my best.

aha im just messin with you i honestly dont know how sat2s factor into anything these days…

maybe browse through the stickied threads and find people with stats around yours and see their results (which youve probably already done lol).

k lol. Anyone know how it will affect me??
