I’m quite anxious about where I exactly stand. I screwed up my SAT I with a 1420 (680 on the english section and a 740 on the math) and I had a week to study for SAT IIs which I realised were way beyond anything I’d studied in school with a 740 Math I and 750 Math II. Otherwise I have a perfect GPA, head several school clubs(my standout activity is probably debates), am editor of the school’s publications, have a fair bit of social work too, and also am part of the boxing club. Should I be applying to top tier schools or drop them and settle for middle tier schools? I can’t apply to a lot of places because of financial problems too.
Having a few reach schools on your list is fine, just make sure you have some solid match and safety schools also. Make sure you have a balanced college list.
Solid match schools are schools where my scores are aboce the average, right?
Correct to the above plus a decent acceptance rate above 40%.
