Hello! I am from India and applying to the following universities in 2016 spring.

  1. University of Arizona
  2. University of Massachusetts, Amherst
  3. Rutgers University, New Brunswick
  4. Pennsylvania State University
  5. Stony Brook University

My preferred major is Astrophysics/Astronomy.

My academic record :
Class 9: CGPA 9/10
Class 10: CGPA 10/10(100%)
Class 11: 97.25%
Class 12: 86.25%(due to asthma)
My sat score(taken only 1 time): 1900 (650M, 570CR, 680W).
I am a National Merit Scholar and have already done and published a research paper on Astronomy. I also have lots of leadership roles, great ecs, great recommendations, and lots of awards.
So, how is my chance in the above mentioned universities?

You were very abstract in giving us information, but I’d say if you can improve your SAT score 100+ points, you have a decent shot at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I don’t know enough about the rest though.
