Pretty great essays/recs, I think

strengths: non-typical Asian kid who really took advantage of going to school here, and everything achievement was pursued independently, because family’s not here
gpa at the time (has dropped a little since…)…
And I was very genuine in my whole application, ie essays

weakness: sat score, if they didn’t see the last one.

THANKSSSSS!!

Had the same SAT score as myself (before your update). It’s not really a weakness; it fits all the ranges of a typical applicant (i’ve looked PLENTY :P). Although I’m sure they don’t automatically assume parents push their kids into passions, having yours obviously shine as things you got involved in because of personal interest will look nicely. I was as genuine as I could be as well; I think it’s something they really value. As yale is pretty artsy, I think that side of you might be a boon (I play piano and do theater myself, and I loved the artsiness of Yale). You’re definiately in the running and are a competitive candidate. What happens on Thursday is out of our hands, and there’s no way of knowing for sure. Best of luck.

thanks for the post :]!
best of luck to you, too!
