Chance Me? Should I add more difficult schools or back down a little, etc.?

GPA: 4.53 weighted, 3.86 unweighted, 4.11 UC GPA
ACT w/ Writing: 34, 10 (Essay)
SAT w/ Essay: 1510 and 6, 5, 6 (Essay)
SAT Subject Tests: Math Level 2 and Bio (M): TBD
Major: Most likely Computer Science with a minor in something film-related…I would love to work with CGI and special effects in television and movies (something most people wanting to go into CompSci don’t usually care about, from my experience)
Extracurricular Activities in School: JV Swim Team (4 years), Varsity Speech Team (3 years), Rho Kappa - Social Studies Honors Society (2 years, Secretary), Fresh Connect Peer Mentoring Leader (2 years), other clubs I did for like a year but probably won’t mention in my application
Extracurricular Activities Outside of School: When I was 17, I received my B.A. with Distinction in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music through a highly rated institute in India. I have been learning since I was 6 years old. Technically, I already have a college education and could be a licensed musician or teacher, but obviously I have decided upon the more common option, haha!
Community Service: Local history center (42 hours), Rho Kappa has a service requirement to remain in the society, so there’s some hours from that
Programs/Competitions: Car building challenge at RHIT, I was team captain and we won third place in the “random track” event, Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program…currently building a website that promotes critical thinking in teens and adults for my final project.
Work: Thinking of doing an internship senior year for fun, but idk. No work experience.
Awards: Regional Qualifier at 2015 IHSA Science Fair, Third Place in that car competition event, AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Commended (I’m guessing, idk yet)
Asian (Indian), Female, not in a low-income bracket, and especially passionate about schools in California due to their strong tech and film programs. I go to a well-resourced, competitive school in Illinois and am in no way accomplished in comparison to some others I know!

But anyway…what do you think?
Safeties: Minnesota (Twin Cities), Purdue (maybe Honors College), Ohio State (maybe Honors College)
Targets: UIUC CompSci (this may even be a reach), Wisconsin-Madison, UMich, UCSD
Reach: UCLA, USC, Northwestern

Your list is fine. However umich and uiuc are both reaches.

Are you not applying to RHIT

Have you won any national/international awards in CS or film? That would be a way to stand out among others in your reach schools. Apart from that, your list seems realistic. Best of luck!
