<p>Work experience: this summer I did an internship with a renown writer from Chicago, I’ve worked at a photography studio and art museum, and I write for the local newspaper. </p>
<p>Essay: I wrote about traveling and learning a new culture. I know, cliche! but I thought it showed a significant passion of mine. However, it doesn’t quite demonstrate Carleton’s wanted “sense of humor” nor my eccentric personal character. On the other hand, it sounds poetic and very literary, showing that I’m a good writer. (Anyone like to read it?)</p>
<p>Recs: I don’t think teachers will describe me as a student with particularly strong academic work ethic. On the other hand, I think they will rather describe me as someone who takes initiative, has strong leadership skills, and contributes a lot to the community. I believe they will also testify to my genuine passion in art and writing. Also an extremely outgoing and social girl…</p>
