Okay so here’s the deal, I didn’t really expect to have any interest in college but yet hey here I am. So any advice on schools I should apply to and others I should apply to as reach schools and such would just be fantastic.

List of schools I am applying to:
UCLA
USB
UCSB
Cornell
University of Wisconsin- Madison
NC State
University of Virginia
University of Washington

So yea we’ll see how this all ends up going!

I’m not sure of your intended major at Cornell or more importantly what school(s) you are applying to, but in general I can tell you it is a Far Reach. That is the only school I really know well enough to chance you for

Just curious, does the fact that my Grandfather and my Uncle went to Cornell mean anything when applying?

Very little, if at all, does legacy matter at Cornell… Did they happen to be major benefactors?

My grandfather did happen to help design a few buildings on the campus, but nothing to monetary

Gray area for me, I couldn’t say…

Soooo what you’re getting at is that I have a solid 80% chance of getting in? Great!

Not at all sure how you came to that conclusion…

As for the UCs, LA and Berkeley are reaches. You might have good chances with Santa Barbara, though.
