Chance me... some UCs OOS and UF

Hi, I’m a Junior, well now a senior I guess, from Melbourne, FL. I go to a small public Jr/Sr High school (grades 7-12) (West Shore) we’ve been ranked the #1 school in the state by US News (I think?) so highly competitive.

Plan on applying to University of Florida (Target, also applying for summer term), UCSB, UCSD, UCSC, maybe SDSU, and FAU (safety)

Grades:

UW GPA: 3.7
W GPA: 4.15

Test Scores:

SAT: 1880 (first time, taking again 6/6 shooting for 2000+)
ACT: 29 (first time, probably taking again in fall going for 31+)

Classes

AP Environmental Science 4, AP Human Geography 5, AP Lang will find out this summer (expacting a 4 or 5)
took 3 consecutive years of Spanish
All honors, AP, or Dual enrollment
Will graduate high school with A.A. Degree

Senior schedule (early admissions/full time dual enrollment)

General Chem w/ lab
Speech
Western Civilizations 2
Humanities
Statistics

Extracurriculars:

Founded the school’s surf team/club in 8th grade
I compete around the state regularly and around the country annually through ESA and NSSA (surf competitions)
NHS treasurer for upcoming senior year (10-12)
Quill and Scroll member (11-12)
NEHS member (11-12)
Mu Alpha Theta member (11-12)
Homecoming committee (9-12)
Prom committee (11-12)

Community Service:

Will graduate with 150+ hours mostly through one organization (Marine Resource Council, local environmental organization to save the Indian River Lagoon and educate the public about the pollutants and danger of reckless fertilizer use and pollution)

Work experience:

Worked 20+ hours week from July '14 - present and full time during the summer

I think some of my weaknesses are leadership positions, not super high test scores and only 3 AP’s. But UF is probably the goal with the California schools being options if I don’t get in to UF. FAU is my safety school and definitely an option because I have a lot of friends that go there and could have just about a full ride in merit based scholarships along with Bright Futures scholarship.

Oh btw, the schedule for senior year is for fall term only.

Can you pay $55k/ year for a UC or $32k/ year for a Cal State? OOS students get little no FA from California publics.
If you can pay, SDSU and UCSC are matches. UCSB is a high match and UCSD is aow reach. Work on your SAT and Good Luck
