I am applying to Duke and the top UCs for Computer Science and Data Science. My mom and dad were professors at Duke and each completed their masters and PhDs there. Two of my uncles have completed their masters and PhDs at Duke as well. All four of them got their PhDs in Electrical Engineering.

SAT II: Math 2 - 800, Physics - 750
APs: 9 total; World History (3), CS Principles (3), Environmental Science (4), Physics 1 (3), Calculus BC (IP), Statistics (IP), US Government (IP), Microeconomics (IP), Physics C Mech (IP)
3.73 UW/4.52 W (Wrote about how a death in the family impacted my GPA - dropped from a 5.0 to a 4.2)

For those wondering why I didn’t ED to Duke, I didn’t want to fork over 80k a year.

I mean like you kinda threw away your legacy at Duke. Your ECs are slightly below average and that UW is kinda low. Purdue - match, safety
