Chance me to Penn, MIT and Uchicago!

Hi there!

I am a student who will be applying to those three schools this fall, and I wanted to hear others’ opinions on my resume, and my chances.

So here it is:

SAT/SATII/GPA/Class Rank

SAT: 2280
SATII: 760 US History, 800 Math II, 780 Chemistry, 720 World History
GPA: 4.25/4.00, Top 1% in my school out of 320 students
AP: Completed 6 APS, and will be taking 6 more APs senior year.
All of them are hard APs not like AP Psy or AP Human Geo…

Extracurriculars

Chairman of my class
President of a service club for two years: launched a service project, and was successful!
Officer of Mu Alpha Theta(Math Honor Society): Organized various state, national, international competitions, mentored students, and participated in the AMC
Dance Club: Was in for two dance shows
Math Club: Created a website, and tutored many kids
Debate club: I went to lots of competitions in this region, and had some successful results
Honor Societies: Mu Alpha Theta, Chinese honor society, National honor society, Science national honor society
Three more service clubs that I were active in.
Attended a conference related to global issues, and presented a workshop.

Awards

Many academic awards, essay contest awards, international English test, and a testimonial from the governor, and two scholarship awards

Internship/Work

Event organizer in tourism fair for two years
Worked for an association for the summer
Volunteered in a woman’s organization

Essays

I am still writing them!

Recs

I think all three should be decent too:)

I am Asian, female, and lived overseas a LOT. I lived in three countries and really had lots of overseas living experience.

I am planning to take physics, chinese SAT II in Nov and take another SAT exam in Oct.
I hope I get better results!

Solid chances at all, bit higher if early action. Can go either way, good luck

If you’re Asian, you will have a hard time getting into all of these schools. You look like a top notch student but I would say your chances are 75% for Penn and UChicago. 50% at MIT.

Thanks for your response!

I really want to go to one of these schools, especially Penn!
I just wanna end up somewhere, I guess!

But MatzeMatze, why do you think I have better chance for Penn?
