Just wondering what my chances for transfer might be… after looking at Rice’s website, and hearing what everyone on here has to say, I REALLY want to attend. My current university has hardly any undergraduate research that I can get into, and is giving me close to no money in financial aid (I have ONLY $3K in loans thanks to parents right now, but I will have to take a $17K loan for next semester:( )

This may seem like a silly question, but I am wondering on how the food is on campus, with regards to healthiness, variety, and availability. Since I am a triathlete, fueling up correctly is a big deal for me. I’d rather not be in the situation that I am in currently, having to purchase a lot of extra healthy food to substitute for the crap my school calls food. I am hoping to be a transfer, so I am assuming that I would be living on campus and required to purchase a meal plan, which looks pricey ($1860?!?!?!!?). Looking at the website, the food looks great, but I want to know from first hand experience.

Thanks!
