So, my SAT scores are embarrassingly low, possibly lower than the usual range for BU.

1760(superscored) - CR610 M590 W560
1st time - 1700 / CR610 M590 W500, essay 6 (Came unprepared, as a try out.)
2nd time - 1700 / CR590 M550 W560, essay 8 (Came a little more prepared, but I was unfortunately terribly, terribly ill, down with a whooping cough which heavily impacted my performance. I was BARELY able to concentrate due to it. Just my luck. Looking back, it still frustrates me to this day. Sigh.)

Honestly, BU’s my top choice. Somewhat I’m disheartened, but I’m aware there is nothing else I can do. I’m unable to retake it as I’ve signed up for subject tests in Dec. For now I’m working my way to do better on those. Will be taking Lit and Math level 2.

I’m Asian(Malay), and female. Currently, I’m an international A level student, from Malaysia. Subjects I’ve taken up are Lit, Math, Econ, and History. Not particularly sure how GPA works, as we don’t use it here in my school, but out of estimation, perhaps I’d be around 3.5-3.7?

I’m really interested in the COM school, intending to major in either communication or journalism, preferably the latter.

Here are a few of my EC’s, listed according to importance.
- Editor-in-chief of yearbook
- Design editor of school magazine
- Interact club (publicity director for an environmental campaign within the club)
- participated in a regional public speaking competition
- a few more but i don’t think it’s worth listing it all down here…

Being realistic here, is there a chance for me at all at BU?
