I feel pretty good about my PIQs & got them approved by a past UCB admissions officer @ my school as well as many of my teachers. they all tie in really well with my major & intended career path. I wrote a lot about personal experience w/leadership. wrote about work experience & internships. talked about what sparked my interest in cog sci.

Im applying to:
SFSU (got in), SDSU, CP SLO, CP Humboldt (got in), UCB (my top, but such a reach I think!) UCSD, UCSC & UCD

I know a lot of these are probably reaches bc my GPA is so low but I am so curious! Thank you all!

@Gumbymom if you see this youre my idol

Thank you for the compliment but all I do is post statistical data for the UC’s and CSU’s to help aid applicants get an idea of where they stand based on GPA and admit rates.

I need clarification on the primary major for each UC and CSU.

My primary major for the UCs is Cognitive Sciences (CogSci) & for the CSUs it is Child Development for Cal Poly SLO and Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences for SDSU

Oh and I had linguistics as an alternate for all of the UCs. Linguistics with Specialization in Speech and Language Sciences, B.A. for UCSD.

So here is the admit rates and GPA ranges for Cognitive Science:

Campus Cognitive Science Psychology
UC Berkeley College of L&S major selection not considered for admissions 9%- / Capped weighted UC GPA 4.14-4.29 Unweighted 3.89-4.00 Capped weighted 4.31-4.65 Linguistics- 22% for Humanities major
