What accounts for UCB’s tuition being around $10K less than a lot of other UC schools? (UCLA, UCSB, UCSB)

You are a very strong candidate for all the UCs. They can be finicky though so apply broadly.

Tuition at all the UCs is around $13.5k per year. Room and board is driven by the local housing an labor markets.

should have clarified that I am out of state.

OOS tuition is also pretty uniform at all UCs.

Also, there is virtually no financial aid to OOS students so, plan on $55k per year.

I’d suggest you look into some privates. Start with USC, USD, Santa Clara, Chapman and LMU. They are much more likely to offer some financial incentive.

damn. thanks for the info, NCal

UC tuition is around $13K. OOS supplemental tuition is another $23K and room/board is around $12-15K per year depending upon campus/meal plan and room type.
