Hi so I have a medical condition that explained my below average grades
for one class (I kinda failed twice lol), which I explained well in the optional essay. I also did very well on my supplementals and commonapp (according to others). I’m OOS and applied undeclared LAS and health sciences. Do I still have a chance even though my scores suck but my essays are very good? Sorry I applied RD and I know EA results came out (CONGRATS to everyone that got in!) and I’ve kind of been feeling anxious
You’ve not given any statistic info.
I’m wary that you failed one class twice being medical unless you struggled on others too.
Sorry, I have a 3.606 gpa and 1310 SAT. I did struggle a bit on other classes too, not as much as this one (semesters honors math). unfortunately, this was all during junior year. freshman, sophomore, and senior year grades have been very good. I also have many EC’s and leadership and volunteering, along with good reasons for my major choices in my supplementals
Didn’t UIUC results already come out today?
The 3.6 is unweighted ?
Here’s the student profile. Gpa a tad low but test in range.
Like all have a backup but maybe possible.
Some will depend on rigor and how much EA vs RD impacts - at some schools RD is near impossible.
Goos luck.
