Chance me: Unc chapel hill

Hello there! I’ve been doing a lot of research on admissions chances, particularly for UNC Chapel Hill. Mind you, I’m an out of state female. My scores and grades seem relatively compatible with what they’re looking for, but I started my own non profit organization in Mwanza, Tanzania a year ago and I’m wondering if they’re going to be “wowed” by this. (CEO of A Common Thread: Tanzanian Sewing Project, here is our address: [A Common Thread Tanzanian Sewing Project created by emilysermons | Wix.com](http://emilysermons.wix.com/acommonthreadproject))

Here are my stats
GPA: 4.2 weighted, 3.8 unweighted
SAT: 2160 (660 math, 750 on writing and reading)
ACT: 30
APs: 5’s - AP Lang, AP US History; 4’s - AP Calculus AB, 3’s - AP World History (taking AP computer science, Literature, Statistics, Government, and Econ this year)
Extracurriculars: CEO and founder of A Common Thread, Clarinet Section Leader in marching band for four years, Editor in Chief of school paper, Vice President of Chamber Music Society, National Honors Society, Interact Club, Model UN.

I’m a little nervous of having that special “something” that they’re looking for, what are my chances? Thanks!

I’LL CHANCE ANYONE WHO ASKS!

Please! Need help!

Hate to be one of those people that bumps themselves all the time but this is semi-crucial for me!

bump bump bump, I guess I’m going to have to be obnoxious about it now.

What’s your class rank or estimated percentile?

I’m in the top 10% of my graduating class.

UNC is a high reach for you (Successful OOS applicants are typically in at least the top ~5% of the class and have a high 2100-mid 2200 SAT. Most likely will get rejected, but that organization you started could be a huge boost for you but no one here can honestly judge that EC except UNC admissions. Good luck to you.

TO be honest, I don’t find your non-profit very impressive. I think anyone can create a website on wix.com and ask for money. But, what are you actually doing to help those people?
