I will be applying to these universities for fall 2018. I’m in my second to last semester at a California community college. I will be applying to other UC’s and Cal Poly Pomona. I feel confident in the other universities but not these two. My personal statement essays are pretty good but my grades I think will hold me back especially at USC.

Well, in raw stats, your cumulative GPA is a bit low compared to UCLA’s admitted History major transfers. It goes without saying that when it comes to overall cum. GPA for UCLA’s admitted transfers, you’re well below the average.
USC doesn’t publish this kind of information, so I wouldn’t be able to give you a precise idea of where you stand. However, I can tell you that USC is a big reach for you.
A comment on personal statements and other supplementary documents (other essays, recommendations, etc.): They DO NOT carry your application. They support your application.
On the UC stats site for pre-history transfers I fit on the admit and enroll range though. Wouldn’t it carry more weight since I have everything done? Since their holistic maybe they’ll over look all the science classes I took.
Perhaps they’d like to look at the bigger picture. Having the prerequisites / IGETC done is just something that all applicants should be working towards / have done.
