<p>So… I am applying to University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Separated into background, scores/GPA/APs, and extracurriculars. </p>

<p>If you need any more information, can you tell me?</p>

<p>Background

  • California resident, white male
  • Come from a single parent who graduated from a 4 year college
  • Middle class
    Numbers (GPA, SAT, ACT, APs…etc)
  • GPA = 3.5 weighted/unweighted, just looking at sophomore and junior grades
  • SAT, top 3, 1710
  • ACT, 24
  • SAT II
    o Math II – 550
    o Chemistry – 630
    o US History – 550
  • APs (I have yet to take them…)
    o AP Calculus AB
    o AP Chemistry
    Extracurriculars
  • Camp Mentor on Leadership Team (been on it for 3 years) at a sleep-away camp
  • 5 years of guitar practice
  • JV and Varsity Water Polo, junior and senior year
  • Freshman Football
  • JV Swimming, won Sportsmanship award
  • Radio show, 2 hours a week on live air</p>

I already took it 4 times, and got a lower score when I studied two weeks prior.
So, no. :|</p>

Just reach. (meaning if you write superb essays you might get in)</p>

<p>But then, this is just my opinion seeing some of my friends get into wisconsin with similar stats as yours. I think you have some what chances.</p>

<p>focus on raising your ACT to a 26. and you should be fine. Write good essays.</p>

<p>Thanks guys! Im not taking any more standardized tests, only two APs in May… I have yet to see my grades from fall term though, they should be out in a week. Maybe my cumulative was raised from a 3.5 to hopefully like a 3.6 or 3.55, something higher.</p>

<p>My reading of the chart puts your chances in the 30 - 50% range.</p>

<p>Vinceh- meaning that I have a 30-50% chance to get in? Thats better than what I expected for USC atleast! I thought USC would be hell for me to get into, like a 10% chance. Not bad at all. Thanks!</p>

<p>My comment was for UW-Madison; the 2nd link refers to UW-Madison. My apologies for including the USC link. Your chances at Southern Cal are substantially lower, more akin to the 10% you mention.</p>
