Chance me? Weird SAT scores?

So my main problem is that I have a 730 reading SAT score but a super low 550 math.

I have learned 3 languages since starting high school and want to go into Political Science. Is that a big enough “hook” or are all of the colleges listed below reaches? Will colleges look past the low math score or should I retake the SAT?
Help!

Schools I’m looking at are:

UC Irvine
UC Davis
UCLA
Santa Clara
American University

Hey I also have a unique SAT score, 710 Reading, 560 Math, and I’m interested in Poli Sci. There isn’t enough info for anyone to chance you.

Can you chance me?

Overall, that may be a problem. A 1500 atleast can give you high chance at all these schools , excluding GPA and EC’s. Since you are PoliSci, reading is more important.
My friend got into Berkeley last year, with a 1360 (800 math, 560 reading), and he was engineering. But then again, h e had high GPA. The language thing is not that strong of a hook, but it is good for essays.
Hopefully, you have a high GPA and other good EC’s, because a 1280 isn’t that good enough for UC’s that u are applying to.

For the UC’s what is your UC Capped Weighted GPA and Fully weighted? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Also you UW GPA for SCU?

Languages are not a “hook” but as stated above, it would result in a good essay.

25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:

UCLA: 1280-1500
UCD: 1190-1430
UCI: 1190-1420

Depending upon your UC GPA, a 1280 SAT may get you into UCI and UCD. UCLA will be a Reach.

SCU will probably be a slight Reach also.

@Gumbymom my UC GPA is 3.85

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted) and not major specific:

UCB: 14%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 44%
UCSB: 54%
UCD: 58%
UCI: 65%
UCSC: 85%
UCR: 94%
UCM: 96%
