<p>I would say you have a good chance with UC’s. IDK about the rest. Your ec’s are really good though, use that at your advantage.</p>

<p>And I keep hearing my school guidance counselor saying ECs don’t mean a whole lot… is that true?..</p>

<p>ECs matter a lot to some schools, but most schools can see through what a lot of people put as ECs. For example, signing up for 10 clubs senior year won’t help you very much. An EC club means holding an officer position or doing something important. I know that UCs don’t put as much weight on ECs as most others. Typically any high-volume applicant school won’t have the time to scrutinize every single EC each applicant had done, so they resort to only looking at big ECs or checking off that the person did indeed do ECs.</p>
